Oxfordshire County Council’s updated Parking Standards for New Developments was the topic of a timely and energetic discussion at our recent members’ meeting.

Hosted at Red Hall, Oxford North, members discussed the updated parking standards, including implications for development viability, delivery, transport, infrastructure and sustainable growth.

The session demonstrated the crucial role of Oxfordshire Developers Forum as a platform for constructive public/private dialogue. It brought together Oxfordshire County Council representatives, developers, advisers and partners to discuss how policy will work in practice and what it could mean for future schemes across the county.

The UK Property Forums (UKPF) article – our official media partner – covered a range of viewpoints across the lively debate, underlining a fundamental point: policy works best when it is informed by those who will help deliver it.

Oxfordshire Developers Forum has an important role to play as a constructive consultee and sounding board on emerging policy; helping members understand change, raise practical concerns, share evidence and support joined-up, thoughtful and commercially realistic growth.
